About Babylimo
Babylimo is a passion project of our founder Anna and was born out of her struggles wrestling with clunky and heavy pushchairs after her little one was born. By designing and developing the Babylimo 3 in 1 pram system, Anna’s goal was to provide all parents with an easy to use and stylish all-in-one pram solution that fits around you and your modern lifestyle.
We are on a mission to ensure mums and dads are happy and comfortable walking or travelling with their babies & toddlers, regardless of the terrain or surface conditions.
We understand the challenges associated with travelling with a newborn or toddler, whether it’s a quick walk around the block or a road trip to the Lake District, and so we have set out to create a carriage system that is so versatile that the only thing you will need to think about is: how far do we travel?
We were unable to find a complete baby carriage system that catered for a modern lifestyle and grew tired of compromising on important features such as frame height, frame strength, wheel diameter, suspension, quality of fabric… so we decided to create our own.
We enjoy forest walks, beach strolls and the occasional small hike up a mountain, but we also enjoy shopping and holidays abroad – so whatever we created had to satisfy a number of criteria and quite a demanding audience. Plus, it had to look good.
And so Babylimo was born.
How it all started
It all started when I was pregnant and wanted a specific, practical and well-made, durable pram with the functionality for a new-born and a toddler. I was looking for an ‘all rounder’, ideally something that I could also exercise with, use for long walks in the forest and on the beach but also look stylish when walking on Oxford Street or Hyde Park in London.
I didn’t want to buy separate items: pram, pushchair, stroller and car seat. I wanted one. None of the products on the market were well made, durable, and practical at the same time. None of them were safe enough to exercise with or tall enough for a European mother and father.
I wanted a “babylimo”, a vehicle for our baby that was safe and practical for wherever we chose to go. I also wanted something that was built to last and could stand the test of time as my baby developed into a toddler. This is how Babylimo started.
But this is just the beginning of the journey.
Babylimo products are continuously evolving through feedback from the Babylimo Community. It matters to us that you love our carriages and travel systems as much as we do and so we ask all our customers for their honest feedback and ideas for improvements.
